This study examines the punctuation marks used in Gagauz Turkish and compares their functions with those in Turkey Turkish. It briefly outlines the historical development of punctuation in Gagauz Turkish and describes the functions, usage contexts, and formal features of each mark. Using a descriptive and qualitative research design, the study draws on Gagauz dilinin orfografiya hem punktuaţiya kuralları. Each punctuation mark is analyzed under separate headings to identify functional similarities and differences between the two written languages. The research presents concrete findings showing how punctuation operates in both systems and highlights where the two languages converge or diverge. Overall, the study offers a comparative perspective on the punctuation systems of Gagauz Turkish and Turkey Turkish.
