In Türkiye, no study has been found that semantically examines Uzbek proverbs related to root values. The aim of this study is to analyze Uzbek proverbs semantically within the framework of ten root values. The data were obtained through a literature review conducted using the document analysis method. The analysis was limited to ten root values included in the Ministry of National Education’s Turkish Language Curriculum: justice, patience, respect, love, responsibility, friendship, honesty, self-control, helpfulness, and patriotism. Of the 116 proverbs identified as relating to the ten root values, 26 relate to friendship, 17 to patriotism, 16 to honesty, 12 relate to justice, 12 to patience, 10 to love, 8 to respect, 7 to responsibility, 5 to helpfulness, and 3 to self-control. Each proverb related to a root value was translated into Turkish and presented together with its meaning.
