This study attempts to highlight the contribution of divans, one of the primary sources of classical Turkish literature, to biographical literature. The Divan of Hüseyin Vassâf was selected as a sample for this study due to its extensive biographical information. This study, which aims to contribute to literature in general and biographical literature in particular through readings of divans from different perspectives, employed content analysis and documentation methods from qualitative research methodologies. The biographical data identified has been classified and evaluated. Based on the content of the poems and the records of information written before the poems, it has been understood that the Vassâf Divan, a biographical work, provides data directly or indirectly to other disciplines. By blending the traditional style of biographical writing with his skill in aruz, Hüseyin Vassâf presents snapshots of people's lives, inviting the reader to accompany him on his own journey.
