POSTMODERN DÜNYAYA TASAVVUFİ BİR MESAFE: AHMET MURAT’IN ŞARKIYI KES KİTABINDA ÇAĞ ELEŞTİRİSİ

Özet

This study aims to examine Ahmet Murat’s poetry book titled Şarkıyı Kes, published in 2018, in the context of a poetics written against the human, cultural and daily life practices of today’s world. The poems in the book contain critical themes about phenomena such as urbanization, speed, consumption, power, identity, secularization and culture industry, which are considered among the determining dynamics of the postmodern age. In this respect, Ahmet Murat’s poetry book Şarkıyı Kes stands out as an original poetry book that deals with criticism of the postmodern world in contemporary Turkish poetry.In the study, poems selected from the book were classified and discussed according to their thematic and poetic similarities. In this context, detailed poetry analyzes have been made under headings such as the fatigue of city and daily life, the transformation of the body into a performance object, knowledge and intellectual identity becoming a spectacle, the automation of language, the domestication of art by the government. In the review, analyzes were made with concepts such as criticism of daily life, biopolitics, performance and fatigue society, simulation theory and culture industry criticism, which are considered as resources in interpreting the sociological and philosophical background of the poems.
