-DIK / -(Y)ACAK + İYELİK YAPILARININ ÖZNELERİNDE İLGİ EKİNİN KULLANILMASI ÜZERİNE

Özet

The relations between words, in Turkish, are generally obtained through suffixes. Some of these suffixes make connections with the words preceding them, while some make connections with the words succeeding them. The genitive suffix connects the words it is added to the words succeeding; whereas the possessive suffix connects the words it is added to the words preceding them. -DIK and -(y)AcAK are the participle suffixes which could be added to the verbs and take possessive suffixes. The possessive suffixes added to -DIK and -(y)AcAK make contacts with the subjects of the verbs they are added to. The genitive suffix is sometimes used and sometimes not used with the subjects preceding them: Gizem+in giy-diğ+i elbiseyi çok beğendim.(I like the dress that Gizem wore) / Gizem, giy-diğ+i elbiseyi kendisi dikmiş.(Gizem, herself, sewed the dress that she wore). In this paper, we have tried to determine the situations in which the subjects of participles made with -DIK and -(y)AcAK having possessive suffix are/ are not used with the genitive suffix.
