İLKOKULDA DUYGUSAL OKURYAZARLIK ÖLÇEĞİ İÇİN GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

Özet

This study aimed to develop a measurement tool to evaluate the emotional literacy skills of primary school students. The created item pool was presented to 11 field experts; Content Validity Rate (CVR) was determined for each item with the Lawshe technique. Data were collected from a total of 898 primary school students, 248 for the pilot application and 650 for the main application. The validity and reliability analyze of the scale were completed with the collected data. It is seen that the sample size adapts to factorization at a “very good” level. In addition, the chi-square test statistic obtained from the Bartlett Test of Sphericity is significant (KMO=.849, x^2=1300.801; p<0.01). The scale consists of two sub-dimensions called “Individual Emotional Processes” and “Social Emotional Processes”. The Cronbach Alpha value of the scale was found to be .829. High scores obtained from the scale indicate high emotional literacy skills. The item factor loads, and the reliability of the scale were obtained at the desired level.
