Özet

Language development is the maturation of a child in the use of language at certain ages. Children acquire language by sound. He makes the sounds in the womb first randomly, then like the sounds in his native language. The aim of the study is to monitor the phonetic development of children learning Turkish. It covers 11 children aged 6-36 months; examines phonetics in the single word, early grammar, advanced grammar period. The method is a natural observation method; 1 hour of video recordings were taken 15 days for two and a half years. Phonetic development was studied in the data. As a result, the first sounds in children who acquire Turkish are flat palate vowels; it has been observed that dental consonants are produced before lip consonants, especially fluent sounds, harmonious consonants can be used interchangeably; Turkish acquisition stages are different from general language acquisition stages in terms of process.
