RABGUZÎ’NİN KISASÜ’L-ENBİYÂ’SINDA ÖLÇÜYE DAİR SÖZ VARLIĞI

Özet

The work of the Khwarezm Turkic period, Kısasü'l-Enbiyâ, contains the translation of the prophet parables from Arabic to Persian by Rabguzi into Turkish. This work is rich for Turkish in many ways. One of these, riches is the names of measures in the vocabulary of the work. The variety of meter names in the work is determined not only by the meter names that have existed since the first period of Turkish, but also by the meter names that have passed from foreign languages into Turkish. In addition, in the formation of many measure names in the work, the Turkish cognitive system has come into play through metaphorical uses. In this article, the measurement terms in Kısasü'l Enbiyâ are analyzed in terms of structure and origin in the meaning categories of with, equality, scarcity, multiplicity, length, volume, quantity, weight, and the names of measurements are explained with the support of various sources and based on the sentence in which the relevant measurement name appears in the work. However, word groups with various grammatical structures that give the meaning of measure are given in the table.
