Despite the disadvantages they have, many famous scientists and artists with special needs around the world have achieved significant success by not giving up on working towards their goals. In order to learn the motivation factor behind the mentioned achievements, the biographical documents of the individuals in the sample group are examined on the basis of Maslow Hierarchy, and it is aimed to create the motivation for the disadvantaged individuals to realize themselves. While the population of the research consists of biographical documents belonging to many scientists and artists, the research sample includes biographical documents belonging to 8 famous individuals with different special needs. Qualitative research method and case study research design were used in the research. The data collection method of the study is document review, and the data analysis method is descriptive analysis. In line with the findings obtained in the research, it is possible for the individuals to keep their motivation high by being aware that the inadequacies and obstacles to self-actualization are not invisible walls that cannot be overcome, and the finish line is in the same position for everyone, even if the road used is long and bumpy compared to ordinary people, similar to those in the study. has been reached.
