Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin dil bilgisine yönelik motivasyonlarını belirlemek amacıyla geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Kars il merkezindeki çeşitli devlet ortaokullarında 7. sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 264 kız ve 236 erkek olmak üzere toplam 500 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin faktör yapısının belirlenmesi ve geçerlilik çalışması için toplanan verilere SPPS 25.0 kullanılarak doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ve LISREL kullanılarak açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda ölçeğin iki faktörlü olduğu belirlenmiş ve temel bileşenler yöntemiyle çözümleme yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin istatistiğinin (KMO) değeri 0,919, Bartlett Küresellik Testi istatistiğinin değeri ise *χ2=6310.22; sd=1081, p<0.000 ile anlamlı bulunmuş ve faktör analizine uygun olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Madde geçerliğine kanıt olarak madde toplam test korelasyonları hesaplanmıştır. Madde test korelasyonlarının 0,308 ile 0,710 arasında değiştiği saptanmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini belirlemek için hesaplanan Cronbach alfa iç tutarlık katsayısı toplam ölçek için 0.948 bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin yüksek motivasyon faktörünün iç tutarlılık katsayısı 0,946, düşük motivasyon faktörünün iç tutarlık katsayısı ise 0,874 bulunarak yüksek bir iç tutarlık elde edilmiştir. Bu bulgular ışığında dil bilgisi motivasyon ölçeğinin geçerli ve güvenilir olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to determine the motivation of middle school students towards grammar. The study group consists of a total of 500 7th-grade students, including 264 girls and 236 boys, studying in various middle schools in the city center of Kars. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was initially conducted on the data collected to determine the factorial structure and validity study of the scale. As a result of the factor analysis, it was observed that the scale has a twofactor structure. Therefore, the scale data were limited to two factors and analyzed using the principal components method. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) statistic value of the scale was found to be 0.919, and the Bartlett's Test of Sphericity statistic value was χ2=6310.22; df=1081, p=0.000, indicating that it was significant and suitable for factor analysis. Item-total test correlations were calculated as evidence of item validity. It was determined that the item-test correlations ranged from 0.308 to 0.710. The Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient calculated to determine the reliability of the scale was found to be 0.948 for the total scale. The internal consistency coefficient of the high motivation factor of the scale was found to be 0.946, and the internal consistency coefficient of the low motivation factor was found to be 0.874, indicating high internal consistency. In light of these findings, it was concluded that the grammar motivation scale is valid and reliable.
