Hıdırellez is a New Year’s ritual rooted in the belief that abundance, fertility, and vitality are brought to the earth through the meeting of Hızır and İlyas. On this day, special rituals are performed, with people making wishes and celebrating in hopes that they will be accepted by Hızır. This study examines the celebration of Hıdırellez in the digital sphere using netnography, an online research method. The main aim is to analyze the presence and continuation of the Hıdırellez tradition in digital spaces. The research focuses on whether performing these rituals digitally contributes to their preservation and transmission. The study investigates themes such as health, fertility, wealth, fortune, and having children, within the context of Instagram. It was concluded that while traditional rituals are still observed, new rituals are also created, incorporating non-traditional elements shaped by personal emotions and preferences, aligning with trends in the digital realm.
